CFI PLATFORM SERVER: Secure File Transfer across LAN, WAN & the internet offering encryption & security, reliability & guaranteed delivery, management & automation, audit & control. We offer cost saving migration from competitor products such as Connect:Direct which is supported with useful tools. The standard for moving information safely, easily, and quickly from anywhere to anywhere and may be used as part of a VPN, ERP, EAI or ETL software solution for secure file transfers as well as in disaster recovery, data archive, electronic document and record management, backup & restore operations etc (see Uses). Enhanced File Transfer and the various methods of data encryption and management tools offer many advantages when compared to Secure FTP (SFTP) or Secure Shell (SSH). Platform coverage includes all common platforms used in the enterprise today.

Scheduling and Automation Options allow unattended file transfers to be scheduled for specific dates and times, from as little as every ten seconds to designated days of the week or month.
Compress data to ensure efficiency – with automated smart check that the compressed file has not become larger than the original. CFI Platform Server provides two different algorithms for compressing the data for transmission. These are Run Length Encoding (RLE), and Limpel-Zev (LZ). There are different benefits to both forms of compressed data. In general, RLE is faster and requires less CPU time to execute. LZ generally performs better overall compression. The compression algorithm may be selected on a per transfer basis
Administrators can also set upper limits to the number of transfers that can take place at one time. Although CFI Platform Server can handle hundreds of simultaneous transfers, it is not always best to allow that many to take place at one time. In some circumstances, it may be preferable to limit the number of simultaneous transfers so the system and network interface of the machine do not become overburdened.
Guaranteed Delivery & checkpoint restart ensures file transfers persist until the entire file reaches its destination.
CFI Platform Server has a number of capabilities built in to guarantee delivery and, more importantly, to automate the exception management. These features include:
Checkpoint Restart: Checkpoint Restart, when enabled, periodically sends packets of data with the file transfer, which informs the receiver of the current point within the file. The receiver commits the latest data received to the file system and records the sender’s checkpoint and its own checkpoint in persistent storage. In the event that a link connecting two machines goes down during a transfer or the transfer is not able to complete successfully for any other reason, CFI Platform Server will automatically restart the transfer from the point of failure (last good checkpoint taken) and will not require the transfer to start from the beginning. When transferring very large files, this can save a tremendous amount of time and network bandwidth. CFI Platform Server’s Checkpoint Restart provides significant advantage because it utilizes an interval of time when determining when a checkpoint should be sent. Competing products use a number of data packets transmitted to determine when to take a checkpoint. Time based check pointing is better since the checkpoints always occur at a regular interval. In contrast, packet count check pointing is tied directly to line speed of the transfer.
Recoverable Work Queue: CFI Platform Server has a recoverable work queue, ensuring that all queued transactions will be retained in the event that the system comes down for any unforeseen reason. If CFI Platform Server comes down, perhaps because the machine loses power, all transactions will still be on the work queue when the system is brought back up.
Co-existence with other products using ‘Directory Name Initiation (DNI)’ feature which also allows automated movement of files as well as Drag & Drop end user file transfer.
is a complete suite of enhanced file transfer management to help ensure compliance, security, control, and integration. The CFI Platform Server and Internet server may be implemented ‘stand alone’ or together to meet corporate requirements and the optional Command Center module provides a central point of control.

CFI INTERNET SERVER: Secure Internet File Transfer enables data to be securely transferred via the internet with easily downloadable Java based browser application. Ideal for secure transfer of data, (including electronic documents & records management – see Uses) between business partners. Information security via SSL & HTTPS (HTTP/S) as well as options for FTP/S, SFTP, FTP, (FTPS, Secure FTP) ensures that data is moved securely through the firewall & the DMZ. Developed in close co-operation with major global enterprises for the needs of today with features required for efficiency & security.
CFI COMMAND CENTER: Centralised control of all data movement module, the Command Center provides a single point of control to manage all enterprise file transfer, inside and outside the enterprise, and across platforms. The Command Center's Web-based interface provides a single view of all file transfer activity, bringing together features and functions including server management, user profiles, alerts, status reports, and audit logs.
