CFI Platform Server – API’s, ActiveX controls, ISPF panels, REXX interface and command line interface for enhanced file transfer.

Wide array of integration alternatives provide a full set of API’s, ActiveX controls, ISPF panels, REXX interface and command line interface that allow users to program information exchanges directly into enterprise applications.

Command Line Generator

In order to simplify the process of creating batch jobs on the Windows system, CFI allows users to fill out parameters in a series of panels and then save those parameters and values in the proper format to be interpreted by the CFI command line interface.  This allows users as well as administrators to quickly create even the most complicated batch jobs.

Extendibility Features

CFI further improves on traditional file transfers by allowing for the use of Application Programmers’ Interfaces and event monitoring and post-processing capabilities.

Application Programmers Interface (API)

APIs (Application Programmers’ Interfaces) are extensions to programs that are provided by software vendors to allow users of their technology to extend the functionality of the application to meet a specific user need.  CFI provides an extensive set of APIs that allow users to embed CFI technology within their own applications.  The result is that the user is able to leverage all of the functionality of CFI, without having to develop custom functionality themselves.

CFI provides interfaces to popular programming environments including C/C++, ActiveX, COBOL, PL/I and APIs can be written in a variety of programming languages.  CFI’s APIs also include ActiveX Controls on the Windows side that allow you to use Microsoft Visual Basic (VB) to easily embed CFI technology into your VB applications, or use Visual Basic, C++, VB Script, or any language that supports Active X, to provide CFI functionality in user applications.  Using the ActiveX controls allows you to equip your web pages with secure file transfer to and from your web site.

On the OS/390 side, CFI has a REXX interface that allows you to use REXX to queue transactions, inquire on transfers, and perform operator control functions to the CFI Server for OS/390.  A Command Line Interface allows users to program information exchanges directly into enterprise applications.

Alias Feature

The Alias feature allows the user to associate an alias file name with an actual fully qualified file name. The end user has no idea of the actual file name used by the system. Additionally, there are substitutable parameters that can be used to assign values to the file names. For example, an Administrator can define the systems file name to be any combination of the User’s ID, the Transaction Number, system name, time, date or node name. This facility is usable on the responding side of the transaction, and is supported on all CFI platforms.

Substitutable Parameters in Post Processing

CFI supports Substitutable Parameters to allow users to take full advantage of the 64 character maximum on the command data, and to allow users to not have to copy the filename from the LocalFileName or RemoteFileName parameters.

Delete, Rename, Exist Utility

When a file transfer completes, the user may want to perform some action such as renaming or deleting a file. Since all CFI platforms have a different command to perform this action, Proginet has developed a utility to allow CyberFusion to use a common interface to rename or delete files. The interface supports Windows, UNIX, OS/390 and AS/400.

CyberFusion Integration Suite (CFI)™ for Secure file Transfer.

is a complete suite of enhanced file transfer management  to help ensure compliance, security, control, and integration. The CFI Platform Server and Internet server may be implemented ‘stand alone’ or together to meet corporate requirements and the optional Command Center module provides a central point of control.

Ideal for secure transfer of data, (including electronic documents & records management – see Uses) between business partners. Information security via SSL & HTTPS (HTTP/S) as well as options for FTP/S, SFTP, FTP, (FTPS, Secure FTP) ensures that data is moved securely through the firewall & the DMZ. Developed in close co-operation with major global enterprises for the needs of today with features required for efficiency & security.

CFI COMMAND CENTER: Centralised control of all data movement module, the Command Center provides a single point of control to manage all enterprise file transfer, inside and outside the enterprise, and across platforms. The Command Center's Web-based interface provides a single view of all file transfer activity, bringing together features and functions including server management, user profiles, alerts, status reports, and audit logs.
